Last week, we gathered in the serene beauty of the Catskills for an unforgettable experience: the Upstate Retreat with renowned psychotherapist and boundary expert Terri Cole, alongside NUSHU founder Vanessa Cornell.
This retreat was a powerful and transformative journey designed for high-functioning women ready to step into greater freedom, flow, and purpose. Over the course of four days, we engaged in meaningful discussions, thought-provoking exercises, and deep self-inquiry, all designed to help us reclaim our energy and establish healthier ways of relating to others.
A hallmark of any NUSHU retreat is the deep sense of connection and support that emerges among participants, and this retreat was no exception. From our opening circle to our final moments together, there was an unshakable sense of safety, trust, and mutual understanding. Through movement, journaling, group discussions, and moments of quiet contemplation, we created space to be truly seen and heard, forging bonds that will last far beyond our time in the Catskills.
Winter provided the perfect backdrop for our inner work. The crisp air, snow-dusted trees, and stillness of the season encouraged us to turn inward and embrace rest and renewal. Scribner’s Catskill Lodge, with its cozy atmosphere, breathtaking mountain views, and thoughtfully curated food, was the ideal sanctuary for our time together.
Through this retreat, we took a collective step toward honoring our needs, setting boundaries, and prioritizing our own well-being. We left feeling lighter, clearer, and more empowered to bring these lessons into our daily lives.
Thank you to all the incredible women who joined us on this journey. Your presence, vulnerability, and wisdom made this retreat the powerful experience that it was!
