“How do I feel? What do I need?” These two questions were at the core of the NUSHU Upstate Retreat. While our adventuring took us out into nature, it also took us inwards towards our embodied center.
With beautiful movement and integration sessions led by NUSHU Founder Vanessa Cornell and wellness practitioner Erika Bloom, we explored our outer and inner landscapes, and unlocked wisdom in our bodies, hearts and minds.
The retreat took place at the scenic Hasbrouck House, where we nourished ourselves with delicious foods prepared by the talented team at Butterfield Restaurant. We also excited our senses and unleashed our creativity with an essential oil workshop courtesy of Kate McLeod. During our free time, we stepped out of our comfort zones with activities like rock climbing and hiking.

This retreat aimed to take our participants out of their lives for a few days to receive a full body and mind reset, and it did just that. Our community left feeling inspired, energized and supported for the months ahead.
We’d also like to thank our incredible friends and partners including Be Here Farm, iota, Peekay’s Herbs, Sakara Life, Sun Potion and Tammy Fender, whose generosity allowed us to take our self-care to the next level.
